Eyelet High waisted Nappy cover with Straps (0-18 months)

Materials:
3mm needles
Approx. 100grams of wool or cotton
Needle
5 buttons

Cast on front:
Cast on the correct amount of wool for 7cm. For me, this is 24sts.
Knit 4 rows before opening the buttonholes on the 5th row.

Open buttonholes:
K2, k2tog, y.o, k8, k2tog, y.o, k6, y.o, k2og, k2

Increase front of the work:
Now increase by k3, y.o, k to last 3 sts, y.o, k3 and at the same time start adding the pattern as I did and I explain in the video (LINK HERE) if you desire, until you achieve the size required for your age as listed down below:
Premature: 16cm wide
1-3 months: 18cm wide
3-6 months: 20cm wide
6-9 months: 22cm wide
9-12 months: 24cm wide
12-18 months: 26cm wide

Now continue upwards:
Now it is time to continue our work upwards in plain knit before starting our 7cm of eyelets as explained below, here is the chart of how high to knit according to what size you are knitting:
Premature:
1-3 months: 6cm
3-6 months: 9cm
6-9 months: 11cm
9-12 months: 14cm
12-18 months: 15cm

Pattern for eyelets:
Multiple of 5+2
1.- *p2, slip 1st, k2, pass slip stitch over 2 last stitches* p2
2.- *k2, p1, y.o, p1* k2
3.- *p2, k3* p2
4.- *k2, p3* k2

Repeat this sequence of four rows 7 times opening buttonholes for the straps on the 7th (optional) as I explain in the video (LINK HERE) and then cast off.

Back of the work:
When knitting the back of the work, we start it in the exact same way as the front but without opening buttonholes. (Knit 6 rows before starting the increases).

Finishing touches:
If buttonholes were not your thing, now it is still time to knit the straps.
With buttonholes: pick up 6sts, approx. 4cm apart at the back of the work (as I explain in the video) and knit during the cm necessary.
Without buttonholes: pick up 4sts on front and back and knit an i-cord or a crochet chain until you achieve the length necessary.
